Early on in my career I began drinking, as it was fun and seemed to be a thing that a young, up-and-coming rock star was supposed to do.

Then one day I woke up and my record wasn't meeting label expectations.

I felt lost and humiliated; my drinking wasn't cute or beautiful anymore."
