Whatzerame / Vulture

New single from Whatzername, "Vulture"

The Skinny Review:
When the instruments kick in, it's fuzzy and a little eerie in a great way. Then the chorus got stuck in my head. But the true star of this song is the piano, it sets the whole tone wonderfully.

In Their Own Words:
"Vulture is about “the ongoing battle of giving too much of oneself to others that take advantage, and the idea that we all have someone on our side looking out for us, perhaps someone who is jaded and has seen it all, like a vulture”, according to singer/guitarist Ashlee Standish.

The video takes place in a retro-themed house that featured the ladies jamming in cool, artistically decorated rooms. Ashlee narrates the song from her seat at the piano, juxtaposed by the rest of the band performing in the bedroom. The video also features Danno O’Shea (of My Son The Hurricane), who recorded lead guitar on the track. The video was filmed by Smoothie Stufio (Bryce Smith) and Jeremy Sobocan, who brought their creative vision to the feeling the band hoped to convey.
